Jackie Mulligan is a Principal Lecturer at Leeds Met with a faculty wide role in supporting business development activity. Jackie teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in marketing, fundraising and sponsorship, entrepreneurship and themed events.

Jackie has worked for15 years in the events, festival, tourism and arts sectors. In particular her work has focused on the area of business development, sponsorship, funding and fundraising for international, national and regional organisations including the Department for International Development (DFID), national lottery, government agencies in the Caribbean and the UK and continues to work as a consultant with a range of regional event companies and festival organisations.

Within Leeds Met, Jackie has managed and developed significant projects for the UK Centre for Events Management including the European Union funded Event Market Development Project which provided business support to events companies and led to the establishment of a new regional Events Network. Jackie has developed professional industry training programmes including the Economic Challenge Investment Fund funded Creating and Managing Events programme and continues to work with industry partners to drive forward new initiatives. In 2010, Jackie received the Dean's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Enterprise.
