Kate Dashper is a Lecturer in Events Management. Originally from a sociology background, she is near to completing her PhD which is a qualitative study of the production and reproduction of gender within British equestrian sport. She is interested in using ethnography as a research method for exploring the experiences of various event stakeholders – audiences, volunteers, organisers and participants – with a particular emphasis on sports events.
