The UK Centre for Events Management was established more than ten years ago.  With almost thirty full-time academic members of staff, it is now probably the world’s largest group of specialist researchers and educators with an interest in festivals and events.

The results of the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2008) confirm the excellence of work undertaken by colleagues who were assessed collectively with those at the Carnegie Research Institute, the International Centre for Responsible Tourism and The Centre for Tourism and Cultural Change.  The results of the RAE suggest that some 75% of the work submitted for our Unit of Assessment was rated as being world leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*) and places us in the top six of British institutions assessed or the top three if measured according to ‘research power’.

Please contact us if our work interests you and you would like to explore the potential for partnership and collaboration.
