Glenn Bowdin, Head of UK Centre for Events Management, recently presented at the Venues Event Management "Event Director Forum" held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Glenn provided an overview of the growth in events management education, provided an outline of what events management degrees contain and discussed how courses equip graduates for a career in the events industry.
Glenn commented, "An ongoing challenge for event educators is to ensure that employers in the events industry are made aware of what is included in events management courses. As vocational management qualifications, our programmes provide a solid foundation for managing in the events industry, providing practical application and theory, so that our graduates develop essentual knowledge and employability skills."
