The UK Centre for Events Management in association with the Cultural Policy and Planning Unit (CPPU) at Leeds Met hosted a two day symposium for the European Festival Research Project (EFRP) during late November.  The event convenor was Leila Jancovich from UKCEM.

Speakers came from the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Poland and Serbia to share reflections on contemporary issues in leadership and governance of arts festivals and to explore international research collaborations.   Two UKCEM colleagues – Dave O’Brien and Anna Richter – made important contributions based on their research on Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008.
