Dr Gayle McPherson (Glasgow Caledonian University, Business School)

In her lecture Gayle discussed the links between the development of events in policy-making and the theoretical exploration of the role of events as policy in a globalising world. The presentation focused on examples of her work in Singapore and Glasgow; the former in its development of the City/State as the Eventful City and the latter on Glasgow in its winning of the Commonwealth Games for 2014.
