Professor Rhodri Thomas was the invited keynote speaker at a Regional Studies Association conference hosted by the University of Warsaw, Poland, in September, 2009. Rhodri explored connections between events, tourism and policy formation relating to economic development. He paid particular attention to understanding the role of ‘movers and shakers’.
