James Musgrave is a Senior Lecturer in Events Management. Originally from a hospitality background, James' current research interests relate to strategic management and sustainable management principles; planning strategies and audit trails, specifically related to the events sector. Previously, James was a senior partner in Genuine Hospitality Consultancy where he worked with a range of businesses from McCain Foods GB, Leeds City Council and H.M Prison Service.  Before moving into education James had a successful career in hotel and consultancy management for a range of national and international companies, where he gained much of his strategic experience and development in training.

  • PhD Candidate Institute of Transportation Studies, Leeds University - Sustainable Transportation and Change Behaviour.
  • Special Edition Editor, WHATT Theme issue, Can principles of sustainable management overcome the challenges facing the events industry?
  • Strategic Management
  • Sustainable Management principles; planning strategies and audit trails, specifically related to the events sector.
