Simon joined the UK Centre for Events Management in 2003 following 19 years in the events industry.  He has extensive experience of planning and staging major music festivals, having worked with most major British music promoters.  He retains an interest in practice by remaining part of the V Festival management team and represents the University on the Committee for Live at Leeds (an annual city centre multi venue music festival).  His current research interests relate to finding ways of improving knowledge exchange and partnership between industry and universities.
