Anna Richter, one of UKCEM’s PhD candidates, has won the national Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) award for Outstanding PhD Presentation of 2009.  Anna won the award for the explanation she gave of her work on European Capital of Culture programme and urban policy in Liverpool at the annual PhD networking conference held this year at the University of Nottingham. The selection was made by a panel of senior academic judges chaired by Dr Scott McCabe.

Anna received her plaque and book vouchers at an awards ceremony held at the House of Commons, London, on 23rd July, 2009.
