Symposium on Leadership and Governance of Artistic Festivals

The UK Centre for Events Management  (UKCEM) will be hosting a meeting of the European Festival Research Project (EFRP) to share international research perspectives on  Festival Governance and Leadership at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK from Friday 27th to Saturday 28th November 2009. 

Researchers from France, Germany, Poland, Serbia, UK,  will explore the effect of different organisational models and the impact of political leadership  in meeting a festival’s objectives, in relation to its organisational development, its artistic programme, its ability to position itself within cultural policy agendas.   Presentations will be short to encourage debate and academics, students and festival managers are all welcome to attend to join the discussion.  For more information please contact:
