The annual TESA debate and awards lunch was held at the Soho Theatre, London, on 31st March, 2011. Professor Rhodri Thomas was one of the keynote speakers addressing the question: What is the future for local authority events in the current economic climate? Following an assessment of current funding arrangements, Rhodri discussed how current thinking on innovation might prove useful for local authorities. The platform was shared with Andy Pidgen, Vice-Chair of the Local Authority Event Organisers Group (LAEOG).
