Jackie Mulligan, Principal Lecturer at the UK Centre for Events Management made a presentation about a new series of specialist event CPD workshops at the first regional Workforce Development seminar hosted by The National Skills Academy (NSA) for Sport and Active Leisure in November. The UK Centre for Events Management was recognised as a Centre of Excellence in Yorkshire and The Humber by the NSA in 2009. Presenters at the event, which attracted over 30 of the region's largest employers representing local authorities, stadia and commercial leisure operators emphasised the importance of skills development to staff productivity, retention and competitiveness in a tough economic climate.

Details of the new courses are available here (downloadable PDF) or please contact Isla Brown on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
